A festive season... and no reason to work on Monday

I have no idea why the blog has the heading what it has, but some future generations of some alien species, when they are able to extract and interpret data out of a black disk they dug out of a strange planet they found on their way to the blasidah planet(a planet where they go to find soul mates), might argue it represents the life that inherited this planet.

Though not bothering about such distant or impossible future, we talk about the issues at hand. The hindu the beautiful newspaper as it is argues about the person who stands to gain by the war hysteria??? but is the hindu who is arguing this or some old retired diplomat who woke up to find ohh here is a controvercy i can write about, and then spent two of his nights framing the writeup and then a third one using thesaurus to make it unaccessible to many out of the minimal 500 million people who speak/read english.

The author while beautifully arguing how three different classes of men benefited by war hysteria, he forgot to mention his own name as he scribbled down another good editorial under his name, which i think might have numerous other achievements for sure.

Pakistan and Hafiz Saeed was a pointless article, just like actions of the pak gov, which seems to be running in circles. The only good this article did was to compile information from various sources and praise Mr. Chidambram for his cautios response.. aah atleast few people praise this government.

Beyond Trade Issues brings up something, how trivializing issues and opening up too much can lead to such chaos. Any little electrical engineer knows the mess one is into if one does not follow the basic assumptions of two ports that input resistance should be infinite and output should be almost zero. But, who would explain this to our liberal ecnomists who are busy making linear curves in their two nation ideal models withdrawing conclusions and still creating blunders. It's time the engineers showed these ecnomists.. some real engineering.

Ahh finally some article on which I have some opinion, "US urges changes to Google's book deal". Yes google has done something great, and also proved a point that when one is committed towards doing right thing, one is secure enough to take big gambles. Gates, should learn something, that one could do good while being in the corporate world itself though i don't undermine the great efforts of his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, it is doing some decent work. People against google attaining too much power have only one credible point that every one has an evil side, and the real character is tested in the times of desperation, but still arguing this you cannot stop anyone from doing something good to the world. Any act of positive creation helps this world. According to me all books should have been digitized by the combined efforts of our governments to bring education to our younger generations, and now they are trying to hold back a great Company who have done the task single handedly. Great job google guys... after seeing their work one feels these are somethings worth fighting for.

And rest toh nuclear deterrence, Climate change and the economic dimensions of national security.. aah i feel all these things need good standard probability based models like in communication theory.

It was a good holiday.. though i didn't study much as usual even today and spent 15-20 mins of quality time writing this. Finally from today i go into Defcon-3 mode. This mode gives highest precedence to Project code name_civil.
